Meet Dylan
My name is Dylan Caplis and I am an aerialist and movement artist in my hometown Missoula, Montana. I had the pleasure of seeing my first aerial performance locally and was immediately enticed. This inspired me to start moving my body and taking better care of myself. Upon trying aerial for the first time, I was challenged physically and mentally, I was enchanted.
Over the past 11 years, I have learned that being an aerialist requires discipline, dedication and resilience. It's a brilliant unveiling of exploration and self-discovery. I specialize in vertical silks and aerial sling and currently teach all ages at Show Tyme Academy (Missoula) dance studio. As a coach, I aim to get people out of their heads and back into their bodies. I provide a safe and fun place to play, build confidence and cultivate an artistic outlet. Becoming proficient in aerial takes dedication and I am here to help support your movement journey.
I attended my first teacher training through Nancy Ruby’s Yoga Motion Academy in Bozeman, Montana and earned a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification (2017) and a 50-hour Yin Yoga Certification (2018). I am now certified in Level 1 Silks through Born to Fly (Boulder, Colorado) (2019) and soon to be certified in Level 2 Silks through Paper Doll Militia (Los Angeles, California) (2023).
When I am not practicing movement, I enjoy getting into nature with my animals and family here in Montana. I am currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and a certificate in Pre–Dance Therapy at the University of Montana.
